J. Bruce Redmon, M.D. - Medical Director
Since 1997, Dr. Redmon has served as ReproTech, Ltd.’s Medical Director. Dr. Redmon received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown College and his medical degree from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Redmon completed his Residency and his Follow program in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Department of Medicine, University of Minnesota Medical School. Dr. Redmon has served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, Division of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of Minnesota and is currently serving as an Associate Professor, Department of Medicine and Urologic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. His current specialty certification is in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and has numerous publications in his areas of specialty certification. Dr. Redmon is an active member of the American Association of Tissue Banks.
W. Brent Hazelrigg, MS - CEO
Brent is a partner in ReproTech and serves as its Chief Executive Officer. Brent has more than 25 years of sperm and embryo cryopreservation experience and two degrees from the University of Missouri, including a Master of Science in Reproductive Biology. Brent completed his graduate research with an innovative study of freezing and thawing techniques for embryos. Prior to joining ReproTech in 2004, Brent served as the Division Chief Operating Officer of the largest sperm banking company in the world, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of that company. Brent is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Pacific Coast Reproductive Society, American Association of Bioanalysts and the American Association of Tissue Banks where he currently serves on the Accreditation committee. Brent has previously served on the following AATB committees; Standards, Ethics\Bylaws and Finance. Brent is also a partner in Frank\Hazelrigg Cattle Company LLC, a family owned and operated beef genetics business in Missouri.
Russell C. Bierbaum, MST - President
Russ, who co-founded ReproTech, Ltd in 1990, serves as the President of RTL. Russ has more than 40 years of experience in the cryobanking industry beginning in the early 1970's with the world’s first commercial sperm bank and later serving for many years as its Technical Director. Russ has served as Chairperson of the Reproductive Council and was a member of the Board of Governors of the American Association of Tissue Banks. Russ has also been a member of many of their committees including Accreditation, Program, Finance and Public Relations. In his current role as Vice Chairperson of the AATB Reproductive Council, Russ has been active in drafting revisions to the AATB Standards to ensure compliance with FDA Regulations. Russ holds degrees from Minnesota State University, Mankato and the University of North Dakota. Prior to working in the cryobanking industry, he taught Physical Science and Chemistry in the MN public schools. An avid MN Gopher fan, he enjoys college football and basketball and spending time Up North fishing, reading, doing projects or just relaxing.
Joy A. Bader, BS - Fertility Preservation Network Manager
Joy serves as ReproTech’s Fertility Preservation Network Manager. Joy holds a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania. After teaching for a few years, Joy pursued a business path that led to Customer Service management in the telecom and cryobanking industries. Joy came to us with more than six years of experience in the cryobank and fertility service industry which included senior management positions in sperm banking, donor sperm and donor egg programs. Joy’s primary responsibility is to maintain Quality Assurance within our fertility preservation programs, ensuring that both our FPN members and oncology professionals have accurate information, protocols and resources that allow them to efficiently assist oncology patients to preserve their fertility.
Clay Anselmo, BSME - Quality Assurance Officer
Clay has over 20 years experience in operations and management in the Medical Device and Tissue Bank industries. Clay co-founded and developed the Reglera division of Enscicon, and has since developed Reglera into a multi-million dollar a year business with a strong and diverse client base. As CEO of Reglera, Clay is responsible for strategy development for Reglera. Reglera's product and services mix is a result of his experience in the Medical Device and Tissue Banking industries and reflects his vision to provide companies with solutions, not simply advice. From its launch, Clay has lead and developed the organization into one of the largest and fastest growing consulting / outsourcing companies in its marketplace. Before joining Enscicon / Reglera, Clay worked for COBE Laboratories / GAMBRO Healthcare. As a part of their US Corporate Management Team, he supported GAMBRO Healthcare’s rapid growth from several hundred million to greater than $1 billion in annual revenues. Rising quickly from a top technical contributor to a position as Corporate Director of Quality Assurance, Clay’s organization led the company to establish world-class quality systems and successfully resolved chronic problems with the FDA that threatened to close the company’s US operations.
Keri J. Hazelrigg, BS - Corporate Secretary\Treasurer
Keri is a partner in ReproTech and serves as its Corporate Secretary\Treasurer. Keri holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri. Keri has 15 years of customer service supervising experience. She joined ReproTech in 2004. Keri also remains active with the family managed business, Frank\Hazelrigg Cattle Company LLC. Keri and Brent also stay busy with two little ones at home.
Rebecca J. Bierbaum, BS - Founder
Becky is one of ReproTech's co-founders, having helped start RTL in 1990. She has more than 25 years of experience in the cryobanking industry having served as the Associate Director of the world’s first commercial sperm bank for 20 years. With a BS Degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, her early career days were spent in the education field having taught elementary education at several MN schools. Besides cheering on the MN Gophers, Becky swims most days at the local Y and is a mystery reader and movie buff.
