Do you have concerns about your specimen storage or disposition options?

  • We’re here to support you every step of the way.
  • ReproTech’s network of facilities and infrastructure provides the flexibility needed to
    support your personal family-building choices.
  • ReproTech is familiar with working with clients/clinics in states that have limited the
ability for patients to make disposition decisions.
  • Currently, there are no federal laws limiting your ability to manage your reproductive
    tissues.

“What options do I have for managing my stored embryos if future state laws change regarding discard?”

  • The governing laws of the state in which the specimens physically reside at the time of disposition are the laws that govern the disposition of the specimens.
  • If future laws prevent discard in your state, you can request to have your specimens shipped to a ReproTech storage location outside of your home site for storage. Once the specimens have been placed in storage at the receiving ReproTech location, you can then request a specimen disposition form.

“How will (or could) the current post-election political environment impact the storage of my embryos at ReproTech?”

“Would it be best to ship my specimens out of the country?”

  • For clients with embryos stored at any ReproTech location, there is currently no impact on your storage. You continue to have full control over storing, transferring, donating (when applicable), or discarding your embryos.

“What if IVF becomes illegal?”

  • Currently, there are no federal laws limiting your ability to manage your reproductive tissues, and both major political parties have shown continued support for IVF. We will do everything in our power to advocate for continued access to IVF.
