Verna’s Purse: Offering Help When It’s Needed Most

To ease the financial burden that often comes with fertility preservation for cancer patients, ReproTech offers Verna’s Purse—a discount program for individuals with a cancer diagnosis who meet financial eligibility. Through this program, we provide reduced-cost cryostorage of reproductive specimens which includes sperm, eggs, embryos, and ovarian/testicular tissues.

We understand that fertility preservation decisions often come during a whirlwind of appointments, emotions, and uncertainty. Verna’s Purse is our way of easing one piece of that burden—by reducing the financial cost of long-term specimen storage. Our hope is that, in time, these individuals can return to the possibility of building the family they’ve dreamed of.

A recent example comes from our Nevada office, which took part in Moms on the Run, a beloved annual Mother’s Day event in Northern Nevada, for the women of Northern Nevada. This community-wide fundraiser helps provide financial support for women undergoing treatment for breast and gynecological cancers, covering essential everyday expenses that can quickly become overwhelming during treatment.

For our team, this event was more than a fundraiser—it was personal, and a chance to stand in solidarity with patients, friends, and loved ones affected by cancer.
