Brad Senstra, BS, MHA Chief Operating Officer
Brad Senstra is the Chief Executive Officer at ReproTech. He works collaboratively with ReproTech’s talented team to ensure the Company consistently delivers first-class service, safety, and reliability in long-term cryostorage. Prior to joining ReproTech, Mr. Senstra served as Executive Director of Seattle Reproductive Medicine (“SRM”). During his tenure, Mr. Senstra oversaw all clinic functions and guided SRM to become one of the largest fertility programs on the west coast. He also contributed significantly to the creation of My Egg Bank, one of the largest national donor egg banks and elevated patient retention and customer service.
Mr. Senstra is a noted thought leader in reproductive medicine and has presented at numerous American Society for Reproductive Medicine meetings and events over the past 16 years. He also served on the Association of Reproductive Managers Board from 2014-2017. Mr. Senstra earned a Masters of Health Administration from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from North Dakota State University.W. Brent is a partner in ReproTech and serves as President Emeritus. Brent has more than 30 years of human sperm and embryo cryopreservation experience and two degrees from the University of Missouri, including a Master of Science in Reproductive Biology. Brent completed his graduate research with an innovative study of freezing and thawing techniques for embryos.
Before joining ReproTech in 2004, Brent served as the Division Chief Operating Officer and on the Genetics & IVF Institute Board of Directors, a fully integrated, comprehensive fertility and genetics services company. Brent is an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the American Association of Bioanalysts, the International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories, and the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB). Brent has served as the Chairperson of both the Living Donor Council and Reproductive Council, as well as serving two terms on the AATB Board of Governors. Additionally, he has served on the following AATB committees; Accreditation, Standards, Ethics/Bylaws, Membership, and Programs. Brent is also a partner in Frank/Hazelrigg Cattle Company LLC, a family-owned and operated beef genetics business in Missouri. In his spare time, he is a coach with the Columbia Wrestling Club, a youth wrestling club in central Missouri. He also serves on the boards of the Missouri Wrestling Foundation and Lizzy's Walk of Faith Foundation.
Dr. Hwang received her medical degree from New York Medical College. After completing her residency in urology at the University of Virginia, she went on to complete a fellowship in male reproductive medicine and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in 2011. After seven years at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University as a clinician and research scientist specializing in men’s reproductive and sexual health, Dr. Hwang joined UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh as an associate professor of urology; director of male reproductive health; and associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. She is one of a small number of specialists in the country who are pursuing the surgeon-scientist career path in the area of male reproductive health and is an active member of the American Association of Tissue Banks and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine. Dr. Hwang’s clinical interests include male infertility and male sexual dysfunction. Her research focuses on new biomarkers of sperm health, new treatment modalities for Peyronie’s Disease, and male fertility preservation in all ages.
Joy A. Zardecki, BS Senior Vice President of Business Development and Administration
Joy serves as ReproTech's Senior Vice President of Business Development and Administration. Joy holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Misericordia University in Pennsylvania. After teaching for a few years, Joy pursued a business path that led to customer service management in the telecom and cryobanking industries.
Joy came to ReproTech in 2009 with more than six years of experience in the cryobank and fertility service industry, including senior management positions in sperm banking, donor sperm, and donor egg programs. She is currently responsible for business development, marketing, and administration. In her spare time, Joy enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family.
Julie Westlund, BS, MA Vice President of Customer Partnerships
As Vice President of Customer Partnerships, Julie leads pre/post-sales partnerships between IVF clinics and ReproTech. Julie brings over 30+ years of experience in the fertility field to ReproTech and has a proven track record of managing successful sales teams as well as expertise in launching new product lines. Julie is an expert marketing and sales professional. She has a well-known and respected national reputation within the Reproductive Endocrinology community most recently serving as Strategic Account Director at Freedom Fertility/Cigna, and prior to Freedom, VP of Client Services at Univfy, VP of Marketing and Sales at Premier IVF, Director of Client Services at IntegraMed, Western Regional Director at Ferring Pharmaceuticals and Strategic Business Expansion Consultant/Product Manager/Clinical Science Liaison at EMD Serono. Julie holds a Master’s in Marketing from Webster University and a Bachelor of Science in Design Management from the University of Missouri.
Amy Erickson Hagen, MS, TS (ABB) Vice President of Quality Assurance & Innovation
Amy received her Master of Science in Reproductive Physiology from Colorado State University and Bachelor of Science in Animal and Range Science from North Dakota State University. Amy joined ReproTech in 2015 and brings with her over 12 years of project management and regulatory compliance experience in the reproductive industry. Prior to joining ReproTech, Amy served as Corporate Compliance Officer at Genetics & IVF Institute, which includes a sperm bank, egg bank, and infertility practice, where she created and implemented policies, procedures, and audit processes to meet regulatory requirements and built robust quality systems. Her past experience ranges from placental IUGR research, an embryologist/andrologist at an IVF clinic to cryobank manager and technical director. Amy has advocated for sperm banking prior to cancer treatment through partnerships with Fertile Hope and LIVESTRONG to offer a national financial aid program for cancer patients to bank sperm and a mail-in sperm banking kit that was recognized in the Wall Street Journal. She brings clinical infertility, third-party reproduction processing, and regulation, as well as project management knowledge to ReproTech. Amy is a member of the American Association of Tissue Banks, where she currently serves on both the Standards Committee, & Programs Committee. Amy also holds membership in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories, and RESOLVE, as well as the American Board of Bioanalysts, where she has received the distinguished level of Technical Supervisor. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, watching sporting events, and running around to the kids’ activities.
Danika Batastini, BS Vice President of Partner Operations
Danika serves as the Vice President of Partner Operations and has been with ReproTech since 2007. Danika graduated from the University of Nevada at Reno with a Bachelor of Science. Danika worked as the ReproTech Nevada Site Director for several years, then transitioned to vice president in 2019, overseeing all ReproTech site operations.
Heather S. Cummins, BS Vice President of Site Operations
Heather is ReproTech's Vice President of Site Operations. She has been with ReproTech since 2005, first serving as the Site Director and Client Services Manager at ReproTech Florida and then as Site Director at ReproTech Texas. Heather holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education from the University of West Georgia. She began working in the cryobanking industry in 2002 after teaching and coaching high school students for two years. Heather is an active member of the American Association of Tissue Banks and currently serves as Secretary of the Living Donor Council and previously served as a member of the Education Committee. In her spare time, Heather enjoys playing golf, watching college football, and traveling.
Dr. Bartolucci leads embryology, andrology, and endocrinology lab initiatives across the First Fertility network focused on measuring and improving pregnancy outcomes and advancing scientific research, as well as compliance and risk management. With over 20 years of leadership experience in clinical embryology, oocyte development research, and clinical laboratory operations, Dr. Bartolucci brings a wealth of expertise and a long-standing history of delivering exceptional patient outcomes. Dr. Bartolucci has served the past 11 years as Operational Lab Director and the High Complexity Laboratory Director of The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services and as the Director of Laboratory Integration and Advancement and Chair of the Lab Advisory Board for First Fertility since 2021. She is also the Assistant Professor of Ob/GYN and Cell Biology at the UCONN School of Medicine, has served on national committees and authored numerous publications and scientific abstracts on reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
Dr. Paul Lin is one of the founding partners of SRM, one of the largest practices in the Pacific Northwest. He is past President of the Society of Assisted Reproductive Technology and current board member of the American Society of the Reproductive Medicine. He is a past board member of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society. As a result, he is spearheading reproductive specialist policy and procedures, nationally advocating for patients, and increasing access to care. He has lectured extensively on egg freezing, assisted reproductive technology, importance of mental health in fertility care, and business of medicine in fertility. Dr. Lin’s extensive surgical background combined with board certification in both OB/GYN and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility have garnered him recognition from his peers and patients alike. He specializes in In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) in women with fibroid, endometriosis, and uterine anomalies and has 23 years of experience in reproductive surgery. He is one of the few fertility specialists who also uses the robotic platform for his complicated surgeries. He is the board liaison between the Society of Reproductive Surgeons and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinologist. He helps train our future in fertility sparing surgery with surgical fellows. Not only is he experienced in IVF as a provider and leader, but he is also the only fertility specialist who does tubal reversal procedures.
Dr. Orwig is a Professor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is also the director of the Fertility Preservation Program and the Center for Reproduction and Transplantation at Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC. Research in the Orwig laboratory focuses on stem cells, germ lineage development, fertility and infertility. The Orwig lab is ideally located in Magee-Womens Research Institute and Magee-Womens Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh and is committed to translating lab bench discoveries to the clinic for diagnosis, prevention and treatment of infertility.
Dr. Janzen joined Memorial Blood Centers in 2003, where he is currently responsible for donor testing, manufacturing, and oversight of an industry-leading Immunohematology Reference Laboratory. He has overseen the redesign and relocation of advanced testing laboratories, the transition to automated testing equipment, and the upgrade of laboratory information systems. Prior to joining Memorial Blood Centers, Dr. Janzen was with the National Marrow Donor Program.
Marybeth Gerrity, Ph.D., MBA, HCLD is the President of Reproductive Biology Resources, Inc. which has provided management consulting services to provider networks, clinical practices and specialty laboratories in women’s health since 1983. She is considered a thought leader in understanding and developing the regulatory framework providing patient safety and best practices in reproductive medicine and tissue banking. Dr. Gerrity is also a practicing embryologist and andrologist, has established, built out and directed a number of successful Assisted Reproductive Technology programs and has served as consultant to over 150 others nationwide. Most recently she chaired a SART Task Force on Tissue Banking to address best practices and risk management in Reproductive Tissue Banking. Dr. Gerrity is a frequent invited speaker in the areas of Fertility Preservation in Patients with Chronic Diseases, Risk Management, Tissue Banking, and Reproductive Laboratory Quality Improvement and Inspection Readiness.
